LYTO’S success in the field of large-scale distribution (GDO)

Family Brendolan in Belfiore (VR, Italy) (brands Famila, Galassia, A&O, …) has chosen Lyto’s for the new automatic warehouse of the brand Maxi Dì.

One of the things where it must put more attention in times of crisis, is the allocation of the resources that are available. In recent years, where the economy in general have not showed a trend of growth in our country, the field of GDO (large-scale distribution) has in every case invested in an area that still have good growth prospects, and therefore new opportunities of cost reduction.

It must see in this context, the decision of the Group Maxi Dì, to build its new logistic center at the site of Belfiore (VR, Italy), giving the assignment to Lyto’s for the construction of the new automatic warehouse.

Ability to propose and implement a customized solution that meets the needs of the customer, high quality of the proposed product, supplier reliability and assurance of the realization times, have made that Maxi Dì have chosen Lyto’s for this important project, including the structural part and also the cladding of the warehouse.

The result is represented by an automatic warehouse with plan dimensions of 127 x 55 m, with height of 33 m and a storage capacity of 36.300 pallet, distributed on 14 load levels, slaved by 12 stacker cranes.

For the automation customer has chosen Swisslog, company with headquarter in Switzerland and subsidiaries all over the world, basically one of the world leader in the field of automation for warehouses. Will be the Italian subsidiary to follow directly the project.

Due to the name and reliability of both suppliers involved, Maxi Dì has made the choice to proceed with direct and separated orders, avoiding in this way the higher cost of the formula with a single main contractor.
